Our History

James C. Van Slyke had been involved in all phases of the automotive aftermarket since 1936 and realized there was a need in the automotive parts aftermarket to handle stocklifts, change overs, buy backs and overstock inventories in a more organized way. In 1973 James Van Slyke founded CAM International to reduce the costs and disruption caused by stock lifts and changeovers . While providing accountability control, and equitable recovery for the manufacturers, CAM International also enables warehouse distributors and jobbers to be more profitable and competitive.

Today, CAM International is recognized as the oldest and largest aftermarket parts liquidator in the United States and Canada, as well as in global markets. Our president, Matt Van Slyke, is a third generation hands-on owner, being the grandson of the founder, JamesC. Van Slyke. CAM International is the leading clearinghouse for new, wholesale aftermarket auto parts and accessories resulting from automotive manufacturer stock lifts and overruns, overstocks, and auto parts liquidations. CAM International provides stock lift and overstock liquidation services to most of the major auto parts and accessories manufacturers in the automotive aftermarket. CAM International also provides liquidation services to warehouse distributors and jobbers, whether liquidating a single unwanted product line or the entire operation.
